Experience Authentic Montana
Located within the Town limits of Stevensville, in Montana's scenic Bitterroot Valley, the Bitterroot River Bed and Breakfast overlooks the River at the base of the Bitterroot Mountains. Our home is a little over 20 years old. Originally built as a private home, the B&B hosts 4 guest rooms, each with private baths, and ample areas for guest to hang out and relax! The B&B offers a tranquil country setting. Our hobby farm is home to the friendliest Montana sheep, chickens, ducklings, and more. Our scenic location provides on-property access to the Bitterroot River, combined with the convenience of being located within a small town. It is a short walk from the B&B to main street Stevensville, where you will find art galleries and gift stores, a microbrewery, a museum, a library, antique stores, groceries, restaurants and other unique shopping opportunities. Don't forget to stop at our local drug and variety store which has everything from A to Z and still operates an old-fashioned soda fountain!
Enjoy year round, relaxation on our covered porch and sunroom as you watch the Bitterroot River flow by! Lean back in your adirondack rocking chair, watch the horse grazing in the pasture, and you can see the top of 9,200 ft. tall St. Mary's Peak! Awaken to a cup of freshly ground, Big Creek Coffee Roasters coffee, roasted right here in the Valley. Your hearty breakfast will be served with a smile. Look forward to a day of skiing, snowshoeing, relaxing with a massage, fly fishing, hiking, bird watching, hunting, cycling, shopping locally and fine dining. We are minutes from the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge, and about half-way between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks. A perfect place for a quick stop-over or an extended retreat. We welcome you for year round relaxation!
"Always ready to make your stay just right for you, Kevin and Heather are warm and inviting hosts. Situated steps from the Bitterroot River you are never far from the charm of this natural beauty. Even on frosty winter mornings the river welcomes you and area wildlife. From the BnB's sunroom enjoy the deer that gather in the meadow between the BnB and the river to graze and take sun. Kevin's breakfasts are big and hearty. Pancakes, soufflés and eggs done in all kinds of ways are just some of his offerings. My favorite? His poached eggs done just the way I like them. Need a box lunch? Give Heather a day's notice and she'll prepare something delicious to meet your needs. On this trip she made a hearty vegetarian corn and potato chowder for me with a fresh mixed green salad and yummy homemade cookie. During the day take a hike or snowshoe, explore the mission, or take advantage of skiing within an hour's drive." Maribel, Pala Alto, CA
